One of the key things we know = is desperately needed is a positive approach to increased communications = with the BDWSA Squad. We're here for you; we need you and we need your = input. So we plan to be sending out monthly bulletins to keep you all in = the loop on various activities including competition dates, training = dates, selection criteria for competitions, fundraising issues and many = other odd pieces of information as requested from yourselves. In return = for our activities we will need something back from each of you so we = can work effectively together. We need squad members, and any potential = members, to communicate with the committee keeping us informed of your = own training commitments and requirements.=20 We currently have the following membership on the committee:=20 Caretaker Chair - Nikki Crocker=20 Treasurer - Anne Griffiths=20 Andy Knowles - Team Manager Adrian Coulter=20 Lesley Garside=20 Jacky Stimpson=20 We are currently discussing and finalising a Tournament Team Handbook, = which will ensure that any task we have put to us has guidelines on how = best to achieve fast results and who on the committee, and/or those = within the skiers community, can contribute to those achievements. We = are also writing role descriptions for the key roles of the committee; = we can have a maximum of 7 members and it maybe that one member will = fulfil more than one role and overlap with a co-member, so clear = guidelines are needed. These role descriptions are intended for use = alongside the Team Handbook so that new members of the committee come up = to speed and understand the aims and workings of the committee in a = manner fast enough to contribute positively, quickly. =20 It is clear from past experiences that the committee alone is unable to = complete all the varied tasks required to maintain a gold standard Great = Britain Disabled Waterski Team and we have been successful in the past = in gaining the additional help needed; many thanks have been owed and = given over the years.
